"Peaceful B&B within short distance to beach - As a Historical Society cite, it is well taken care of and comfortable. The chef had outstanding breakfast that I was expecting. Shrimp and sweet pepper quiche. Yum!! Great stay and looking forward to coming back. "

"Very Nice Stay at the First Colony Inn - We had a wonderful 3 night stay at the First Colony Inn. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We liked the historic nature of the inn and our room on the 3rd floor was great. The location was convenient to several good restaurants located on the sound (sunset views) across the street. Overall highly recommended!"

"Unique place to stay in the OBX - The First Colony Inn B & B is unique to the Outer Banks. It has all the charm and ambiance that today's chain hotels lack. The staff is pleasant, the food is wonderful, and the setting is amazing. First Colony is situated on 4 acres -totally unheard of when considering the over-building in general. This will be where we will stay on future visits to Nags Head."

"1930s Charm with Modern Amenities - The First Colony is amazing. A beautiful historic inn in Nags Head complete with a library. The rooms are named after colonist from The Lost Colony. The library has logs dating back to 1940's. The room was spacious and comfortable with so much privacy we felt like we did not have neighbors. The breakfast was wonderful. We could not have imagined a better place to stay."

"Great Inn - This was my first time to the outer banks. What a great choice. Great Inn with history, character, and charm. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, and the staff was very nice and took fantastic care of us. Afternoon social and morning breakfast were fantastic.

"Delightful surprise - I was staying here for business and was delighted. The bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in. The room was beautifully decorated and large. The exterior is charming and reflects old school Outer Banks from back in the day. Absolutely perfect."

"Romantic and warm historic inn - Our room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was great and varied in menu daily. We got good tips on areas to walk the beach or hike. The hotel has easy beach access across the street. We had late check in and I felt welcomed and got personal service in setting up arrival."
