"This Inn was beyond amazing. The room was rustic and refreshing, very clean and keep the temperature we wanted (because we went in August it was quite warm so walking into a cold room was amazing). The staff were incredibly friendly and provided great recommendation to restaurants at our next location. The grounds and the beach access was wonderful. I never wanted to leave."

"i have been to alot of BNB's ,from Pennsylvania through the Carolina's. This place tops them all from good old fashioned southern hospitality and very comfortable beds most are memory foam. the place has a amazing breakfast shrimp quiche and croissants were great. They also have a wine and cheese reception aswell as a afternoon tea if that's your thing."

"Loved our stay! So many great amenities (beach chairs, bikes, private beach access, huge breakfast, local brews and wines). We were fortunate to have the whole place for a wedding. The back deck area was a great atmosphere for the wedding and reception. Rooms were good, very clean. Cool story behind the place too!"

"Love this historical hotel in the heart of Nags Head, NC. Breakfast room is beautiful, as is our room. It has a porch swing right outside our door. This place , by far, has the most beautiful outdoor space with a large garden, fountain and flowering plants that greet you with their beautiful aroma. Definitely would recommend."

"Everything about First Colony Inn was great. The room was clean and cozy, the staff was extremely nice and helpful and the landscapibg was just beautiful. I love how they go above and beyond by having so many things available to guests such as bikes, beach chairs and beach umbrellas. I will definitely be returning in the future."

"The First Colony Inn is a beautiful building with a lot of history and a great story. The rooms are nice with a dated feel and the grounds are well maintained. Easy beach access with a private path is a plus. I would rate the cleanliness a 4/5 due to finding shorts hanging on the back of our rooms bathroom door on top of the bathrobes and fitted sheets being on inside out. Office staff is very friendly and helpful."
