Noted that they lend chairs and cooler to those staying if they need it an awesome feature and the unique art out back went with the atmosphere. they also have bikes. Will recommend to all."

"Enjoyed our stay at this quaint location. We had private access to the beach, walking distance to restaurants and markets. The staff was friendly and the room was clean. It was a nice place to relax and hang out after the events of the day. We had a kitchenette in our room so we could cook in if we desired. I liked that they had a library with books and games. The breakfast offered in the AM was good and the coffee was excellent! I never could say that at any other hotel I've been at. I'd say the only con was that the walls were a little thin so you could hear people walking around occasionally and the birds chirping in the morning. Although I don't think hearing birds in the morning is necessarily a con. I would definitely stay again and for a longer time. Rooms: rooms were large and clean. I had the deluxe king and it had a kitchenette with a little fridge and kureg coffee maker. Walkability: walking distance to restaurants and markets if needed. The beach access is just on the other side of the 12."

"I had a great stay at this charming inn. The staff was extremely friendly and hospitable. Breakfast was amazing with a lovely continental spread in addition to a served hot dish. The evening social also featured some delicious items that were made in-house. I hope the chef never leaves! My room was extremely comfortable and cozy, and I loved that it didn't look like every other chain hotel room."

"Great Breakfast! Clean! Older facility with Antique furniture. Had towel warming rack in bathroom. Toilet and tub were very low if you have issues getting back up. I loved it and would definitely go again. had chairs outside your room on the porch to sit and look over the gardens and outdoor pool. Only thing that would make it better was an oceanview. You could hear the ocean but not see it. Great stay would stay again. "

"We always enjoy our stays at First Colony. Set back off the busy beach road it is secluded and peaceful Short walk to beach. Interesting decor in each room. all staff so friendly and accommodating. Love the Happy Hour where we can talk to other guests or sit alone. Hors d’oeuvres always good with fresh fruits, quality cheeses, some meats, crackers, etc. good wine. Breakfast is always amazing! In addition to normal stuff they will have a special dish like German Baked Eggs this time. And they use cloth napkins and real stainless. No plastic or paper! Classy! Quiet, wonderful staff, great location. Don’t change!"
