Breakfast

The First Colony Inn is happy to announce that we have partnered with the Pritchard Family, owners of the Dunes Restaurant and The Grits Grill, to provide exceptional breakfast service.  Both restaurants are located just minutes from the hotel.  If you wish to have breakfast, please come to the front desk before 5pm the day before or after 8:00am on the day of to pick up your Breakfast Voucher. You will use your voucher for a complimentary breakfast at either restaurant.  Please present your voucher to the wait staff prior to ordering. The Dunes Restaurant is open everyday except Tuesdays and The Grits Grill is open 7 days a week. Available breakfast options are listed on the back of your voucher.  We hope you enjoy your meal at some of the best breakfast spots on the beach!

Property Amenities

Seasonal amenities include an on-site outdoor pool (open mid-May to October 1, and beyond weather permitting), and various yard games. Direct private beach access is located just across the beach road (Virginia Dare Trail) from First Colony Inn. Please note the Inn does not have an elevator, but the first floor rooms are accessible from a ramp right off the driveway.

Room Amenities

Each room at The First Colony Inn has a private bath that includes upgraded towels and toiletries. Guest will find complimentary WIFI access, flat-screen television, refrigerator, microwave, and Keurig coffee maker as standard in-room amenities at the Inn. Guests that book an upgraded room will find a wet bar and kitchenette. Rooms 10 and 16 also feature a Jacuzzi whirlpool tub, sitting area and rooms 19 and 26 feature private screened porch.
